RIP brave fighters

RIP to all the amazing soldiers who risked and lost their lives to give is the lives we live today.
Today we pay our respects.

Bright eyes, Big smile, makes for a pretty girl.

Every half term as a child I used to go stay at my Aunts house in Bournemouth for a few days. We would go to the beach and the fair and the theatre and have an amazing time. But as we grew older we seemed to stop going there and stayed in my boring little town for the holidays.

So when a few weeks ago my aunt asked if my sister and I would like to go stay with her for a few days we jumped at the chance! So on Saturday morning we set off on the two hour trip to Bournemouth.

We were taken dog racing (where I won £3, woo!), to the beach, to the gym, to the cinema and to the huge Poole Shopping Mall. Home to a four story Primark. Here is where I spent the majority of my time (and money).

These were my Primark purchases of the day. And the pink nail varnish it what I managed to purchase from H&M with my dog winnings... !

I bought these thick grey tights for just £3. They remind me of my old days at First school, when the winter uniform would come out and I would be bundled into my thick grey tights and cardigan then carted of to school with no cares about how my hair or make-up looked. My only worry was making sure I didn't scrape my knees.
I bought the skirt from Topshop in the sales last year, cardigan and necklace both from new look.

I bought this skirt a few weeks ago from ebay for just £3, the cardigan is an old one of my mums from topshop.

I love this cardigan! I think it is the nicest item I have ever purchased from primark. It has a lacy feel to it but it is actually cotton. Its warm and looks good with all my clothes!

I apologise now for my ugly - no make-up face. I like this look alot. I bought the jumper for £11 from Primark, the skirt was given to me by a friend who purchased it from a charity shop and then stitched the lace all round the bottom. The scarf in my hair was also from Primark, but I tied it wrong and didn't realise which is why it looked really bulky in the photo.

Its surprising how tiring it is to throw on a few outfits and pose for the camera!
Hope you enjoyed my post!

Latest style crush..

Hello dedicated bloggers! I am sorry I have not blogged for a while, too much course work and too little inspiration.
Recently I have grown a slight obsession for the styling of the beautiful Fearne Cotton. The edgy indie chick has been the main subject of my wardrobe envies for the past few weeks.

Here are some photographs of the Lovely Fearne..

Woud do you think of her grungy stylings? Comments please!

..and here comes the rain.

What good ever comes from a wet day? Well I suppose it gives you amazing pictures!
So yesterday when I looked out of my bedroom window and saw torrential rain shattering against my window, I threw on my boots and new coat, pulled out my umbrella from the back off the cupboard and set off out into the garden to make the most of the terrible weather.

These are the pictures I managed to get.

Winter is here, and she's early.

Winter has arrived in London, and she's come early this year. Bringing with her cold wind and the excuse to wear animal hats and earmuffs. Yesterday my mum and I decided to go on a charity shop trip in one of our local towns. We didn't really last very long though due to the fact that we were absolutely freezing.
Anyway I did manage to purchase this lovely vintage bag for £4. Its worn brown leather and is just big enough to fit in my purse and phone.

I am in love with it! What did you purchase this weekend? Comment! x

Beautiful beacon

Walking. Not my favourite way to spend a Saturday, especially when you only got half a nights sleep and the suns blinding yet somehow still freezing you half to death. But I actually had a lovely day today. After sitting in the house all morning, wrapped in a blanket and happily watching friends re-runs, my mum decided I needed some fresh air. So we put on our warmest clothes (I got to wear my earmuffs, woo!) and headed out to the  beautiful countryside of Ivanhoe Beacon. A village about thirty minutes from my town. It was such a lovely place, full of subtle beauty and secret paths.

I even managed to get a picture of the sun setting over the fields. Although, as you can see it temporarily damaged my camera, the light was so bright!
These pictures really don't do the beautiful place justice.
Enjoy!

Let the tears pour little one..

My two weeks at Elmtree school are over, and it definitely went to quick. I never expected it possible to get so attached to a group of people in just a fortnight. At the end of my last day yesterday, when I was being showered with pieces of paper decorated with the priceless colourings of these young children, I couldn't help but worry that I may never see some of them ever again. As they all threw their arms around my waist begging me not to go, I couldn't help letting a few tears escape.
So when I arrived home yesterday, after moping around for a few hours, my mum insisted on dragging me out to the cinema to try and take my mind of things. So I sat through some terrible comedy, feeling sorry for myself.
But waking up this morning I feel better, and I can now look back on my past two weeks, with no regrets and feeling proud that I made such an impact on these children.

These are the gifts I got at the end of my two weeks.

picture of the day..

The Beautiful Abbey Lee Kershaw.

Mummy, I'm a working girl now

Theres something quite magical about children. They are so naive, so accepting and so.. simple. Easy to get along with and frankly, more interesting than most adults I have met. Which is why the last two weeks of my life, I have found utter bliss.
I have been working at a Primary school in my small town, the very primary school I went to in fact. I have loved every minute of it, and really don't want to return to normality next Monday. After two weeks of playtime and colouring, GCSE maths is looking worse than it ever has.
Am I wrong to say that a child may actually be better company than anybody else? When upset, who better to turn to than a child, whose smiling face could cheer up even the worst of people. Isn't there something amazing about a young person who you barely even know offering their hand to you beaming.
I have found these past two weeks truly amazing and when I return to the bleak corridors of secondary school, I know I will miss the smiling faces of my new found friends.

This is the outfit I wore today.
